How does the Creation account use the term man?
To refer specifically to the man God created, Adam, and the entire human race.
What is the term man translated into Hebrew?
Adam.
Where did the dual use of the term “man” originate?
God Himself.
Why did God create man?
Not out of necessity but for His glory.
If God created man out of necessity, what attribute of God would be invalidated?
God’s Independence.
What is our purpose in life?
To Glorify the LORD.
Why may God pursue His own glory yet not man?
Because God is worthy of glory, whereas man is not.
What is the meaning of the phrase “Image of God”?
Man is like God and represents God.
What is the Greek term used for the Image of God?
The Imago Dei.
What does the word image mean in context?
Similarity but not exact replication.
What happened to the Imago Dei after The Fall?
The Image of God in man became distorted but was not lost.
What happens to the Imago Dei through Redemption in Christ?
We become more like God and regain parts of the Imago Dei lost after The Fall.
What will happen at Christ’s return to the Imago Dei?
It will be fully restored and as it was before The Fall.

List each Moral Aspect of similarity between Humanity and God.
1) We are morally accountable before God for our actions.
2) We have an inner sense of right and wrong.
3) Behavior that when God reflects similarity to God but when bad demonstrates dissimilarity to God.
