What is social facilitation?
Refers to the finding that people sometimes perform better on tasks when others are around.

a leader works with teams to identify needed change, creating a vision to guide the change through inspiration, and executing the change in tandem with committed members of a group

a leader’s effectiveness is contingent upon with how his or her leadership style matches to the situation
What is a Task-Oriented Leader?
focus on getting the necessary task, or series of tasks, in hand in order to achieve a goal.
What is a Relationship-Oriented Leader?
approach in which the leader focuses on the satisfaction, motivation and the general well-being of the team members.
What is a social dilemma?
a situation in which an individual profits from selfishness unless everyone chooses the selfish alternative, in which case the whole group loses.

parties make trade-offs on issues according to their different interests
