Example:

Of 200 employees, 60 took advantage of educational benefits, 145 participated in the company retirement program and 40 participated in both programs. How many employees took advantage of neither program?

Group 1: 60

Group 2: 145

Both Groups: 40

Neither Group: x

Total: 200

Group 1 + Group 2 + Neither Group - Both Groups = Total

60 + 145 + x - 40 = 200

165 + x = 200

x = 35
