Hand signals are not approved
Tug advises “Ready”
- reply “STANDBY”
- Check exterior doors closed
- Verify CABIN IS READY FOR PUSHBACK
- Call for pushback checklist
- Call for clrx (if needed)
Initial aircraft movement (pushback)
ask “Cleared to start?”
Push clrx received
BCN - ON
Parkding Brakes - OFF
“BEACON ON, Brakes Released, Cleared to Push”
After Eng Start
“AFTER START CHECKLIST”
Push Complete, tug calls “Set Brakes”
Set brakes, verify no movement, check for PARKING BRAKE LIGHT
“BRAKES SET, CLEARED TO DISCONNECT”
SALUTE RECEIVED
After push tug disconnect
“SALUTE RECEIVED, FLAPS ___”
“CALL FOR TAXI”
Approaching takeoff position
-Verify green box
-Check EAD status messages
-Brake temp check
-Fuel qty, check

When cleared for takeoff
- Confirm alignment with dept rwy on ND
Passing 10K AFE climbout
- Cycle chime twice or seat belt sign off
- clear any hard tunes
