Q

General Taxi Speed Limits

A
  • Max Taxi: 40 knots (prepared) 30 knots (SPRO)
  • When GW > 490,000 lbs: less than 20 knots symmetric thrust OR less than 15 knots using asymmetric thrust.
  • When FW > 165,000 lbs: less than 20 knots symmetric thrust OR less than 15 knots using asymmetric thrust.

Q

Taxi Speed over Arresting Cables

A

Mission accomplishment may require operation over arresting cables. Operations over arresting cables at speeds in excess of taxi speed may result in damage to the aircraft. SO in other words, no faster than 40 knots or 20 /15 if you’re using a weird combination of symmetric or asymmetric thrust.
