Origin:rectus- ilium other 3 heads-proximal femur
Insertion: tibial tuberosity
Action: flex coxal joint (1 head), extend genual joint (all heads),

Origin: ilium + lumbar vertebrae
Insertion: lesser trochanter
Action: flex coxal joint

Origin: crest of ilium
Insertion: medial aspect of the genual region
Action: flex coxal joint, extend (cr.), flex (cd.), genual joint
serratus ventralis
O: 1) serratus ventralis cervicis: cervical vertebrae
2) serratus ventralis thoracis: thoracic wall

A: support and/or elevate the trunk
