Q

Shitsurei shimasu

A
  1. May I?
  2. Good bye (formal)
    When you are disturbing someone.
    I beg your pardon.
Used when leaving or entering someone’s room.
“Shitsurei” essentially means “rudeness” and is used when entering a house or room, passing in front of someone, leaving in the middle of a gathering and so on. Some people use it as “good bye” instead of “sayōnara”
