Greenline Mapping Flashcards
1
Q
why use greenline mapping
A
used when mapping boundaries fail to produce an interpretation of bedrock geology
either as area is structurally complex or outcrop are different and isolated
2
Q
what is greenline mapping
A
involves outlining on the map, with a green line, the physical extent of each and every exposure of rock
physical extent of an exposure is not the same as a geological boundary. It is simply the physical limit of exposed rock: the line where the bare rock meets the grass.
