A military technique whereby soldiers march side by side in rows.

A story about gods, goddesses, and hero’s that is passed down over time.
Democracy
A type of government in which the general populace (people) make decisions and share power.

A thinker who reflects upon the meaning of life and is known for their wisdom.
Sophists
Greek philosophers who taught public speaking, history, math, reading, and science.
Polytheism
A belief of many gods and goddesses.
Assembly
Citizens who voted in the government of Athens
City-state
A city that has it’s own government and rules it’s own territory.
