He used a very primitive style, gods had a very important role in the plot.
Tragedies: persians, seven, agamemnon, Eumenides, suppliants..
He was the most balanced of tragedians, he wrote tragedies like medea, alcestis, children of heracles, hippolytus, suppliant woman, etc.

Contemporary of classical greece, he was one of the 10 generals and wrote tragedies like: oedipus, ajax, elektra, philoctetes.
