arena stage
a round stage in which the audience sits around the stage also known as theater in the round
thrust stage
a stage that extends out into the audience and the audience sits on three sides of the stage
proscenium
a stage that has a proscenium arch ( an architectural frame) the proscenium is not always arched
found stage
Non-Theatrical Areas that are converted into theatre spaces. These stages typically place audiences on risers facing the “stage”. They do not require staging such as props, lighting, or other theatrical elements.

The person who oversees the entire process of staging a production
