The virgin goddess and sister of Zeus. No distinct personality or part in myths. Goddess of the hearth, the symbol of the home
Hestia/Vesta
Zeus’s wife . Protector of marriage, spent most of her time punishing the many women Zeus fell in love with.
Hera/Juno
God of war and son of Zeus and Hera.
Arres/Mars
Daughter of Zeus alone. No mother. (?) She sprang from his head full-grown in full armor. The protector of civilized life, handicrafts, and agriculture. Invented the bridal, and first to tame the horse.
Athena/Minerva
The Sun god,god of light, god of truth, Son of Zeus and Leto.
Apollo/Apollo
Goddess of love and beauty. Daughter of Zeus.
Aphrodite/Venus
God of travelers Son of Zeus and Maia. Wore wings on his sandals and his hat, thus was graceful and swift.
Hermes/Mercury
Apollo’s twin sister and daughter of Zeus and Leto. Lady of wild things and huntsmen to the gods. As Apollo is the sun, Artemus is the moon.
Artemus/Diana
God of fire. The only ugly and deformed God. Makes armor and weapons forged under volcanoes. Son of Hera,

Not a god, but a hero. Personification of physical strength. Founder of Olympic Games. Had to perform 12 superhuman labors. Son of Zeus and a mortal woman

Son of King of Thebes. Unwittingly killed his father and married his mother, which caused him to blind himself. Answered the riddle of the Sphinx
Oedipus
Beautiful giant, son of mother Earth. Passionate hunter, accompanied by his dog, Sirius. Banished to live in the sky, and now an easily recognized constellation
Orion
One of the few Greek heroes not known for his warlike exploits. Son of Apollo, sang and played the lyre so beautiful the trees and savage beast would follow him. Performed miracles on the voyage of the Argonauts to find the Golden fleece
Orpheus
Son of Hermes. Not a Satyr, though he also was a half-goat. Shepherd God of woods and pastures, protector of shepherds and flocks

Daughter of Demeter, wife of Hades. Spent part of the world in the underworld and part on earth, and therefore associated with seasons of the year and myths of regeneration
Perseus
Son of a mortal woman and Zeus, who impregnated her disguised as a shower of gold. Also a hero, not a God, led many adventures. Killed the snake headed monster Medusa. Also killed a sea monster to save a beautiful princess named Andromeda
