a hare was bragging about his speed when a tortoise challenged him to a race. the hare was winning but decided to take a nap. the tortoise caught up and won

a lion caught a mouse running on him while he slept. the mouse begged the lion to forgive him and offered to help him in the future. the lion laughed but eventually the lion was stuck in a trap and the mouse rescued him.

a man had an old wife and a young wife. the man was growing grey hairs. the young wife thought he looked old and picked out all the white hairs. the old wife liked him looking older so she picked out all the black hairs. the man found himself bald

a donkey wore a lion’s skin and went to his village. at first everyone was scared but when the donkey spoke everyone recognized his voice.

mice were trying to figure out how to be safe from cats. one said they should put a bell around the cat’s neck to hear him coming. nobody was willing to bell the cat. the mouse said ,“it’s easy to propose possible remedies.”
