Theoxening Narrative?

A

Hospitality or “Guest friendship”.

Xenia encourages trade, long term benefits include financial, social and cultural stability.
The host receives news about the world from guests.

The Process of Xenia
Host
1) Welcome guests
2) Food/Bath/Place to stay
3) No questions until step 1-2 is completed
4) Aid and assist them in their onwards journey.
5) Gives them a gift.

Guest
1) Dont be unbearable and a burden. E.g. overstaying your visit.
2) Gift the host with stories
3) Offer the same treament to the host

Class system : Peasants shouldnt be knocking on the doors of nobles.

Theoxening Narrative : Mythical/Cultural stories involving a stranger being mistreated by a host, but the guest is a God, the host is punished.
