peplos- more simplistic and stream lined

centaur- battle of centaurs and gods
severe style
early classical style that used a more subdued naturalistic style in which the subjects would be on the verge of emotion and had expression (archaic smile)

rule of porportion for buildings and human figures written.
Polykleitos- sculptor
Doryphoros- the title of work sculpted to exemplify the canon
contrapposto
position where one part is turned in opposition (a weight shift)
exomis
a greek tunic
pteron/peripteral/dipteral
greek temple styles (peristyle is a continuous porch formed by collumns)
pteron- a peristyle raised on a podium
peripteral- a single layers of collumns on all sides
dipteral- a double peristyle
