It was a simple rectangular peice of cloth around 2 by 1/2 meters wrapped around the wearer and pinned at the shoulders

It was huge made by the professional weavers of the Athens

A

The poet stratus writes in about 400bc refers to countless men hosting ropes to raise the peplos to the top of the mast
- maybe draped over Athena Parthenos or hung in the temple
