Stock Market: the buying and selling of stocks as shares in companies
Economic depression-
Economic depression- a period of economic decline characterized by high unemployment, high prices, and a lack of economic production
Rationing-
Rationing- practice of giving out limited amounts of food and supplies, generally given to soldiers or civilians during war time
Internment-
Internment- The act of putting someone in a prison for political reasons or during a war
Fascism-
Fascism- a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power.
Dust Bowl-
Dust Bowl- the region that suffered from waves of drought and dust storms, including the entire U.S. Midwest
Drought-
Drought- a period of dry weather, especially a long one that is harmful to crops
Homefront-
Homefront- the civilian sector of a nation at war when its armed forces are in combat abroad
Rural-
Rural- living in the country
Urban -
Urban - living, located, or taking place in a city
Imports-
Imports- to bring in goods or materials from a foreign country for trade or sale
Exports-
Exports- To send or transport products abroad, especially for trade or sale
