What was the causes of the dust bowl?
In the great planes there was a very good crop called wheat. Everyone wanted to farm it, so they did. Most of the plain was farmed and had bear soil. When no rain came it all turned into dust. When the wind came it blew it all around creating the dust bowl. This happened in the 30’s
What programs created during this time are still working today?
Social security, T.V.A, Truth in Security Act, FDIC, SEC, established food and drug act
What was the bonus army. When did it occur. Why. What was the outcome.
More then 20,000 jobless veterans marched to the White House to get their promised bonus. For 2 months they camped in the city. Then they decided they wouldn’t get there bonus but still stayed. They Hoover brought military actions out against them. They used tanks, tear gas, ect. People then hated Hoover even more.
What did FDR promised the American people? Explains the promise
New deal. It was created to relieve, recover, reform
Why did people like the new deal.
Was going to help those in need, get things back to normal and help prevent future problems
Which new deal acts where declared unconstitutional. Why. Explain court packing and how it gained support for the new deal.
NRA,NIRA,AAA because they were to involved in the economy. Court packing is when FDR wanted to have 15 judges instead of 9 bc he would have more support for the new deal
