How to solve inequalities
Inequalities are solved in the same way as equations, except if both sides are multiplied or divided by a negative number the inequality sign is reversed.
Adding or subtracting fractions
Find a common denominator and convert both fractions, add or subtract numerators
Multiplying fractions
multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators
Dividing fractions
Invert denominator—multiply.
Negative exponent
Exponent is on the wrong side of a fraction line
ex. x^(-4) = 1/x^4
