What is a vector graphic?
A graphic made up of several different shapes
What do vector graphics store?
The properties of each of object on a page
What does a bitmapped graphic store?
The colour of every pixel in an image
What does the mouse tool in Inkscape do?
Allows you to activate, move, rotate, shear, and scale shapes
What does the square and rectangles tool do in Inkscape?
Allows you to create a squares and rectangles of different sizes.
What does the circles, ellipse and arcs tool do?
Allows you to create ellipses, curved edges, circles, etc. of different sizes.
What does the stars and polygons tool do in Inkscape?
Creates different shapes where you can choose the number of corners and sides
What does the Bezier pen do in Inkscape?
Used to create vector paths by creating a series of individual points known as nodes which you can add or subtract
What does the text object tool do in Inkscape?
Allows you to create text on a page.
What does the eyedropper do?
Allows you pick the same colour from another object and place it into different ones.
What does the draw freehand lines tool do in Inkscape?
Lets you draw freehand with a brush and lets you change the look of it
What does the fill and stroke operation in Inkscape do?
Sets fill colour, outline colour and outline thickness
What does scale do to the properties of a vector graphic?
Changes the size of your shape
What does rotate do to the properties of a vector graphic?
Turns an object by a number of degrees
What does flip do to the properties of a vector graphic?
Produces a mirror image of an object
