Q
Describe the land of the Grande Vallée
A
East of Cumieres, the Vallee de la Marne opens up with south-facing slopes overlooking a plain. The soil also shifts, with chalky bedrock coming closer to the surface. The Grande Vallée has: an ideal blend of clay and chalk soils, a mostly southern exposure, and a temperate climate–perfect for pinot noir.
