How do you form the future tense and when would you use it?
avoir or etre in the future tense + past participle
use to say that something will have taken place
e.g. I will have left by the time he arrives
Je serai partie quand il arrivera
What are the direct object pronouns and when would you use them?
me - me you - te him/it - le her/it - la us - nous you - vous them - les
e.g.
Ils nous aiment - they like us
Je te regarde - I’m watching you
When are emphatic pronouns used and what are they?
me - moi you - toi him/it - lui her/it - elle us - nous you - vous them - eux
used after a preposition
e.g.
avec moi - with me
pour eux - for them
When are indirect pronouns used and what are they?
to me - me to you - te to him/it - lui to her/it - lui to us - nous to you - vous to them - leur
used with certain verbs to say ‘to’ someone
e.g.
Je leur téléphone tous les jours - I phone them everyday
other verbs: envoyer, parler, appeller, écrire
