What is Transitive Active Verbs

A

*The verb transfers its action to something.
Example: Joe ran a marathon.
- Marathon is receiving the action of the verb.
- Lesson is receiving the action of the verb.
*The someone or something receiving the action of a transitive active verb is called the direct object.
- Marathon and lesson are direct objects.
