What is a metaphor?

A way of describing something by saying it is something else.
E.g. My legs were filled with lead.
What does ‘paraphrase’ mean?
To reduce a sentence

A connective is a word that joins 2 clauses or sentences.

The 21 letters of the alphabet that aren’t vowels
What is the difference between a work of ‘fiction’ and ‘non-fiction’?
Fiction is text that has been made up by the author, about imaginary people and events.
Non-fiction is text that is about real people and events.
What is a prefix?
Give some examples of prefixes and their meanings.
A prefix is a string of letters that can be put in front of a word to change its meaning.
E.g. ‘Un’ (to undo something)

A suffix is a string of letters that are added to the end of a word to change its meaning.
