Grammar ~ Posessive Adjectives Flashcards
With adjectives that describe physical characteristics, do you have to pronounce the end if it’s masculine and ends in a consonant (blond, vert, laid)
You don’t pronounce the ending consonant
With an adjective describing something that is a feminine word, what do you have to add to what would be the masculine form - and how will that change the pronunciation?
You have to add an “e” (blonde, laide, verte) and then PRONOUNCE the ending consonant.
Say (I mean say it out loud to yourself) “He is blonde and small” and then: “She is blonde and small”
Il est blond et petit (pronouncing it as “blon” and “peti”)
Elle est blonde et petite (pronouncing the “d” and the “t”)
