Grammar Flashcards
Indirect Object Pronouns
Me gusta/n Te gusta/n Le gusta/n Nos gusta/n Les gusta/n
The indirect object pronoun tells us who is doing the liking. Ex: I like=Me gusta; You like= Te gusta
The verb must agree with the number of the think thing that is being liked. Ex: Me gusta la montaña; Me gustan las montañas
Contractions
a el –> al Ex: Vamos a el cine.–> Vamos al cine.
This does not happen with “a la.” Ex: Vamos a la montaña.
Direct Object Pronouns
Use of a pronoun to avoid repetition. “We eat it,” rather than “We eat the dinner.”
Replace the direct object with lo or la (depending on the gender of the object). The lo/la can be placed directly before the conjugated verb or (if there are two verbs) attached to the second (unconjugated) verb.
Ex:
Como la cena a las ocho. –> La como a las ocho.
Quiero comer la cena a las ocho. –>
La quiero comer. OR Quiero comerla.

OR
Son las once menos veinticinco. (It’s twenty five minutes until eleven).
