In order to use adjectival verbs in ~ㅡ다 like 크다 (커요) with ~고, the rule is as follows:

  • before a consonant (Batchim), ~ㅡ doesn’t change.&raquo_space; 크다, 크고….
  • before a vowel (ㅇ), ~ㅡ becomes ~ㅓ» 커요
