Simple directional compliment

“来” and “去“

“lái” and “qù”

A

The verbslái” and “” are sometimes used after verbs to explain the direction of the action. “lái” is used to express that the action is toward the speaker or towards the matter being discussed. “qù” is used to express that the action is leaving the speaker or leaving the matter that is being discussed.

  1. When the object of the verb is a location, it is placed between the verb and “lái” / “
  2. 我现在回家
    Wǒ xiànzài huí jiā .
  3. 你进教室吧!
    Wǒ jìn jiàoshì lái ba!
