Where do nouns usually go in relation to adjectives in Spanish?
noun + adjective
adjective comes after the noun
example = the phone blue
Ways to make a yes/no question:
- Inversion (verb is first) (Is the table pretty? vs. The table is pretty.)
- Intonation (structured like a normal sentence but change pitch of voice)
- Use verdad at the end? (example = We will leave tomorrow, right?)
formula to make a question in Spanish
interrogative word + verb + suject + rest of the sentence
Ej: ¿Cuándo trabajas tú?=When do you work?
How does Spanish deal with possession?
article + noun + de + owner
Example = the guitar of Ray=la guitarra de Ray
Do not use apostrophes
For possession, what do we do different when we are talking about someone that has a title (señor, señora, etc)?
Add an extra article before the title.
Example = the cat of THE senora Kerri
What does a + el mean? And how do we combine them?
a + el = al
