CONCRETE
NOUN

ABSTRACT

an idea or concept that does not exist in the real world and cannot be touched
PRONOUN
words that replace or stand in for other nouns in a sentence.
ARTICLES
words that appear before nouns to show whether the noun is specific or general
LINKING
VERB
verbs that connect the subject of a sentence to something that describes it (adverb, adjective).
HELPING
VERB
verbs that connect the main verb of the sentence to its subject
ADJECTIVES
words that modify or describe nouns in a sentence (also called modifiers)
ADVERBS
words that modify or describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
COORDINATE

words that join two things of equal rank (2 verbs, 2 adjectives, 2 phrases, etc)
SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTION
words that introduce dependent clauses.
