Present Progressive definição

A

O present progressive é usado para descrever uma ação que está ocorrendo no momento em que se fala. (Lembre-se que o simple present descreve uma ação que ocorre regularmente).

Alguns advérbios de tempo comumente utilizados são now (agora), at the moment (no momento) e at present (no presente; atualmente).

Simple present definition

A

O Simple Present é um tempo verbal utilizado para indicar ações habituais que ocorrem no presente.

Além disso, ele é usado para expressar verdades universais, sentimentos, desejos, opiniões e preferências.

Por vezes, as frases no Simple Present apresentam expressões de tempo (advérbios).

Simple past definition

A

O Simple Past é usado para indicar ações passadas já concluídas, ou seja, para falar de fatos que já aconteceram; que começaram e terminaram no passado.

Para reforçar o uso do Simple Past, muitas expressões temporais são utilizadas nas frases.

Os exemplos mais usuais são: yesterday (ontem), the day before yesterday (anteontem), last night (ontem à noite), last year (ano passado), last month (mês passado), last week (semana passada), ago (atrás), etc.

Present perfect definition

A

O Present Perfect or Present Perfect Simple (Presente Perfeito ou Presente Perfeito Simples) é um tempo verbal que expressa ações influenciadas pelo presente, ou seja, essas ações ainda estão acontecendo ou foram concluídas recentemente.

O Present Perfect pode ser usado para indicar ações que começaram no passado e se prolongam até o presente. Na língua portuguesa, não há nenhum tempo verbal equivalente ao Present Perfect.
