Bacturia Screening in Pregnant Women
Grade - A
TLDR - 12-16 weeks or first visit.
The USPSTF recommends screening for asymptomatic bacteriuria with urine culture in pregnant women at 12 to 16 weeks’ gestation or at the first prenatal visit, if later.
Blood Pressure Screening: adults
Grade - A
TLDR - Everyone > 18. Check outpatient before rx.
The USPSTF recommends screening for high blood pressure in adults aged 18 years or older. The USPSTF recommends obtaining measurements outside of the clinical setting for diagnostic confirmation before starting treatment.
Cerical Cancer
Grade - A
TLDR - 21-29 q3; 30-65 q3 or q5 w/ co
The USPSTF recommends screening for cervical cancer in women ages 21 to 65 years with cytology (Pap smear) every 3 years or, for women ages 30 to 65 years who want to lengthen the screening interval, screening with a combination of cytology and human papillomavirus (HPV) testing every 5 years.
CRC Screen
Grade - A
TLDR - Start at 50. No defined modality (FOB q1, FITq1, FIT dna q3 Colo q10, Flex sig q5, CT colonography q5, etc.)
The USPSTF recommends screening for colorectal cancer starting at age 50 years and continuing until age 75 years.

Folic Acid Supplementation
Grade - A
TLDR - 0.4-0.8mg
The USPSTF recommends that all women who are planning or capable of pregnancy take a daily supplement containing 0.4 to 0.8 mg (400 to 800 µg) of folic acid.
Gonorrhea PPx Newborns
Grade - A
TLDR - Do it. (Erythromycin; also can use povidone iodide)
The USPSTF recommends prophylactic ocular topical medication for all newborns for the prevention of gonococcal ophthalmia neonatorum.
Hemoglobinopathies screening: newborns
Grade - A
The USPSTF recommends screening for sickle cell disease in newborns
Hep B in Preg women
Grade - A
TLDR - All preg women at first visit
The USPSTF strongly recommends screening for hepatitis B virus infection in pregnant women at their first prenatal visit.
HIV Screening
Grade - A
TLDR - 15-65 x 1 + PRN + All Pregnant women
Hypothyrodism screening: newborns
Grade - A
The USPSTF recommends screening for congenital hypothyroidism in newborns.
Rh incompatability
TLDR- All women, first visit. Plus grade b: retest at risk at 24-28
The USPSTF strongly recommends Rh (D) blood typing and antibody testing for all pregnant women during their first visit for pregnancy-related care.
Grade B: The USPSTF recommends repeated Rh (D) antibody testing for all unsensitized Rh (D)-negative women at 24 to 28 weeks’ gestation, unless the biological father is known to be Rh (D)-negative.
Tobacco use counseling
Grade - A, A, B
TLDR- Ask everyone. If + Behaviorl counseling for everyone+ Rx (varencycline vs. buproprion +/- NRT if nonpregnant adult (level A)
Counsel adolescents to prevent intiation (B)
The USPSTF recommends that clinicians ask all adults about tobacco use, advise them to stop using tobacco, and provide behavioral interventions and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)–approved pharmacotherapy for cessation to adults who use tobacco.
Syphyllis Screening
Grade - A, A
TLDR: Screen increased risk and all pregnant women.
