Living in space

A
  1. Astronauts have to be careful where they sleep because if the area is not well ventilated then they can wake up gasping for air because the carbon dioxide they have breathed out has formed a layer around their heads that is preventing them from inhaling oxygen.
  2. No showers because conserving water is very important. Instead, damp cloths are used for washing, don’t wash dishes and as much water as possible is recycled from the air.
  3. Food choices in space have changed for the better over the years because technology was constantly developing (heat water in space).
23
Q

Space exploration

A

Innovations like Velcro that help us on earth were developed to help with space exploration

ISERV helps track natural disasters before they hit. This helps us prepare for them, which saves many lives

Helps find alternate planets that can sustain life, so in case earth becomes unliveable, we can move there. We can also test out different efficient ways to get there
