A

Examiner will ask you to play ascending and descending from the Grade 8 listings, plus any from any previous grades.

Split into 5 sections; Repetition of Rhythms, Repetition of Phrases, Beating of time & recognition of time signatures, harmony tests & recognition of cadences, pitch tests & recognition of intervals

A

Can be asked any questions about your knowledge of the instrument, musical knowledge, and playing the bass guitar. Must know all the notes all over the fretboard.

Examiner plays a chord progression with Grade 8 chords
You’re shown it and hear it once
Then you improvise a baseline over it, 5 times in total.
