common law
an unwritten law made by a judge that has developed over centuries from those generally accepted ideas of right and wrong that have gained judicial recognition
double jeopardy
Part of the fifth amendment which says that no person can be put in jeopardy of life or limb twice. Once a person has been tried for a crime, he can’t be tried again for the same crime.

False and malicious use of printed words
