Nation-State
The power is given to the people the citizens of the nation
Democracy
A government run by religious doctrine
Theocracy
Vote for someone to represent us in government
Republic
When every citizen is given an equal vote in government, and together make all of the important decisions

(Vote for, or choose) lawmakers to represent their interest in the government
Indirect Democracy
A small group of people in charge
Oligarchy
There is no sharing power with other leaders, the leader is the sole ruler over their people
Dictatorship
It holds total control over the country, you have to be born into it
Absolute Monarchy
When it holds some power, but its restricted
Constitutional Monarchy
Its technically not even a government
Anarchy
A group of people who control the country, make laws, and keep in order
Government
To make and enforce laws, protect people and to provide public services.
What are the roles of government?
Make laws, enforce laws and judiciary power (alter laws.
What three powers do all governments have?
One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them.
