Shay’s rebellion
Daniel shay led a resistance in Springfield, Ma to protest the way the state was collecting its debts. They were mostly farmers.
New Jersey Plan
Every state would have equal representation in congress. Small states liked this idea.
Virginia plan
Representation in congress would be based off of population in each state. Large states liked this idea.
Federalist Papers
Anonymously written essays attempting to reassure Americans a strong central government would not overpower the states.
How does a bill become a law?
It must be debated in committees of congress and passed by both houses of congress (house of reps. And senates) and then signed by the president.
