1 for a person that will represent your area and 1 for the party that will be in parliament and that the prime minister will come from. If the party you voted for didn’t get in, they will still get seats in parliament and the number of seats depends on the amount of votes they got.

Your vote matters more because even if the party you wanted didn’t get into parliament, you can still choose a person from that party or values the things you want.

If a party doesn’t get enough votes to automatically get into parliament, they have the option to join with one or more parties to create the government.
