When do Elections happen?
An election must be called every five years or sooner. The prime minister may choose to calm election at any time during those five years: there are no effects election dates.
What type of electoral system do we have?
We have single member parliamentary

The prime minister asks the governor general to dissolved parliament and call for an election
2 Nominations?
Candidates usually from a party submit nominations a stand for an election.
3 Voters list?
Chief electoral officer is in each province makes up a voters list of who is eligible to vote.
4 Campaign?
Each party uses this time to grow their platform for example debates tourist lawn signs appearances on TV door to door and lots of promises
5 Voters in formed
Voters in formed?Illegible voters are informed of where specifically they can vote example schools and churches
6 Election Day?
Voters go to polling stations to work. Each polling station has return officer polling clerks
7 the count?
Ballot boxes taken to central location and all the voters are counted. Each political party has scrutineers present to make sure vote is fair
8 the winner?
Candidate with the most votes is elected as MP for the writing (not necessarily a majority)
How is the prime minister elected?
How is the prime minister elected?The leader of the party with the most MPs elected become prime minister. We do not vote directly for prime minister. The prime minister is elected as an MP. The Governor General then appoints the prime minister.
Bill to law
Pre-parliamentary, first reading, second reading, committee stage, reporting stage, third reading, Senate, Royal assent and procombination.
Pre-parliamentary stage?
An idea is proposed by cabinet minister private member of other source. Cabinet will approve idea. Civil servant investigate and lawyers help to draft a bill. Cabinet and Caicos approve the bill.
First Reading?
Bill is introduced into the house of commons each employee receives a copy of the bill no vote Takes place. Opposition parties begin to discuss what their position is.
Second reading?
MPs to be at the bill in the house of commons. Following the debate of the vote is taken. If past the bill is approved and principal.
