monarchy
a king or queen inherits their power and position through their family line
absolute monarchy
the monarch holds total control over the country
constitutional monarchies
this is when the monarch holds some power, but it is restricted by a constitution
dictatorship
there is no sharing power with other authorities
oligarchy
a small group of people is in charge

the power is given to the people

In equal vote in government and together make all of the important decisions

Citizens elect lawmakers to represents their interests in the government such as indirect democracy

Citizens elected lawmakers to represent their interests in government such as representative democracy

USA is a constitutional republic
Theocracy
A government run by religious doctrine

No one is in charge
