Autocracy

Monarchy
A king or queen inherits their power and position through their family line
Totalitarion
One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them
Absolute Monarchy
The monarch holds total control over the country
Constitutional Monarchies
This is when the monarch holds some power, but it is restricted by the constitution
Dictatorship
There is no sharing power with other authorities

A small group of people is in charge

The power is given to the people, the citizens of the nation.

This is when every citizen is given an equal vote in government and, together, make all of the important decisions
