Nation-State
Is a government run by religious doctrine.
Theocracy
No one is in charge
Anarchy
This person does not share power with other authorities. Complete control. Anyone can become this type of ruler. Example the kim family.
Dictatorship
The person holds total complete control over the country. They inherit their position from their family.
Absolute Monarchy
This is when a person holds some power, but it is restricted by a constitution
Constitutional Monarchies
A group of people who control the country, make laws, and keep order.
Government
In a country, a small group of people is in charge.
Oligarchy
The power is given to the people, the citizens, of the nation.
Democracy
Is modeled after the ancient Roman Republic. This is where citizens elect (vote for, or choose) lawmakers to represent their interests in the government.
Indirect Democracy
This is when every citizen is given an equal vote in government and, together, make all of the important decisions
Direct Democracy
They vote representatives
Republic
To make and enforce laws,protect people and to provide public services.
What are the roles of Government?
Make laws, enforce laws and judiciary power (alter laws.)
What three powers do all governments have?
One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them.
