Nation-State
Ruled by the people.Example:Switzerland.
Democracy
One person rules by them self.Example:Nazi Germany.
Autocracy
A group of people who control the country.Example:democracy.
Government
Vote for someone to represent us in government.Example:United States.
Republic
The people given the power,and get equal votes.Example: United States.
Direct Democracy
The people vote or choose a person to be governor but if they fail they can get voted out of office.Example:United States.
Indirect Democracy
A divine ruler.Example:Iran.
Theocracy
The power of the few.Example:South Africa.
Oligarchy
No sharing the power with other authorities.Example:The kim family,North Korea.
Dictatorship
The monarch holds total control of the country.Example:Oman.
Absolute Monarchy
The monarch holds some power,but it is restricted by a constitution.Example:Jordan.
Constitutional Monarchy
There is no ruler,everyone fends for themselves.Example:English Civil War.
Anarchy
What are the roles of government?
To make and enforce laws,protect people and to provide public services.
What three powers do all governments have?
Make laws,enforce laws,and Judiciary power (alter laws.)
One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them.
Totalitarian
People vote for their leader and the legislature.
Presidential Democracy
People vote for the legislature and the ruling party in the legislature votes in a Prime Minister.
