A nation people have a country of their own. Example:France , Japan , and Egypt.
Republic
Vote for someone to represent us in the government

A group of people who control the country , Make laws , and keep order.
Democracy
Power is given to the people , the citizens , of the nation. Democracy means rule by the people.
Direct Democracy
When every citizen is given an equal vote in government and , together , make all of the important decisions.
Indirect Democracy
Where citizens elect ( vote for , or choose ) lawmakers to represent their interests in the government.
Theocracy
Is a government run by religious doctrine.
Oligarchy
A small group of people in charge
Dictatorship
There is no sharing power with other authorities
Absolute Monarchy
The Monarch holds total control over the country
Constitutional Monarchy
This is when Monarch holds some power , but it is restricted by a constitutional
Anarchy
Is an interesting type of government , because its technically not a government at all.
Presidential Democracy
People vote for the leader and legislature
Parliamentary Democracy
People vote for legislature and the ruling party in the legislature votes in a Prime Minister
