Autocracy
One person in power.exa Monarchy and Dictatorship
Monarchy
A king or Queen that inherits their power through their family
Totalitarian
One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them.
Absolute monarchy
The monarch hold total control over the country.
Constitutional monarchies
This is when the monarch has some power, but it is restricted by the constitution.
Dictatorship
There is no sharing power with other authorities. Exa. Kim Jun Un Adolf Hitler and Vladimer.
Oligarchy
A small group of people in charge.
democracy
The power is given to the people, the citizens, of the nation.
direct democracy
This is when every citizen is given an equal vote in government and, together, make all of the important decisions.
representative democracy
Is modeled after the ancient roman republic. Also known as indirect democracy.
indirect democracy
Is modeled after the ancient roman republic. Also known as representative democracy.
constitutional republic
Just like the United States
What are the roles of Government?
To make and enforce laws, protect people and to provide public services.
Theocracy
a government run by a religious doctrine
Anarchy
is technically not a government at all.
