Q

Radiographic features of CPPD

A

Remember the aka for CPPD = Chondrocalcinosis, which means cartilage calcification.

Therefore, if cartilage is hyaline the calcification is thin, linear & continuous.

And if the cartilage is fibrous (ie Fibrocartilage), the calcification is thick, irregular, shaggy & poorly defined.
