Analytics Solutions
An umbrella terms for products that are part of Google Analytics
What, in the title of an Analytics Solutions title, differentiates between a paid product and free product?
A “360” modifier is placed at the end of all paid products.
Attribution
Assigning credit (monetary) for sales and conversions (new customers) to touchpoints in conversion paths.
Attribution model
A rule or set of rules to determine how credit is assigned to touchpoints in conversion paths.
Channel Grouping
An aggregation of related marketing activities. Channel grouping allows one to compare aggregated metrics by channel name, individual traffic sources, medium, or campaign name.
Content Grouping
A behavior report that groups pages or screens together to reflect the structure of one’s site or app. Metrics can be compared by content group name, individual URL, page title, or screen name.
Conversion
A completed activity the is important to the success of a business, such as when interest is gained (someone signs up for a newsletter, etc.), or someone becomes a new customer.
Custom Dimension
A user-defined characteristic or parameters of data.
Custom data can be inserted by modifying a tracking code, uploading it using Data Import, or sending the management API.
Dimension
Descriptive attribute or characteristic of data.
Event
A hit (interaction) used to track user interactions with content, such as when a user downloads a file, plays a video, clicks a mobile ad, or uses a gadget.
Goal
A configuration that allows one to track valuable actions or conversions that happen on one’s site.
Hit
What are the most common types of hits?
An action that results in information being sent to Google Analytics.
Common types are page-tracking hits, event tracking hits and ecommerce hits.
Measurement Protocol
A set of rules for collecting and sending hits from any internet-enabled device to Analytics
Reporting API
A set of protocols used to extract user data and make customer scripts or programs for automated and efficient reporting and analysis.
