Good To Know Flashcards
Automatic ground spoilers
If the ground spoilers are armed and the speed exceeds 72 kt, the ground spoilers will automatically extend as soon as all thrust levers are set to idle.
If the ground spoilers are not armed and the speed exceeds 72 kt, the ground spoilers will automatically extend as soon as reverse is selected on at least one engine (remaining engine at idle).
Reduced take off thrust
• D1, which reduces the maximum climb thrust by 10 % • D2, which reduces the maximum climb thrust by 15 %.
The Area of Operations for 120 Min ETOPS
maintaining IAS 330 Kts at FL160 is 843 NM
Thrust must not be reduced by more than
33 % of the full rated takeoff thrus
Reject below 100 kts
The decision to reject the takeoff may be taken at the Captain’s discretion, depending on
the circumstances.
The Captain should seriously consider discontinuing the takeoff, if any ECAM warning/caution is activated
Above 100Kts and below V1
- Fire warning, or severe damage
- Sudden loss of engine thrust
- Malfunctions or conditions that give unambiguous indications that the aircraft will not fly
safely - Any red ECAM warning
- Any amber ECAM caution of the ENG system or the F/CTL system.
The windshear detection function is provided in takeoff and approach phase under the following conditions:
‐ At landing from 1 300 ft RA to 50 ft RA ‐ With at least CONF 1 selected.
