To introduce a set of 12 phrasal verbs connected to a person’s daily morning routine.
Phrasal Verb
a verb +preposition or adverb that changes the meaning.
You can’t directly translate phrasal verbs but they are very common in English!
morning person
Someone who enjoys getting up early and gets a lot accomplished early.
night owl
A person who love to stay up and active late into the night.
go off
(of an alarm) begin to sound
wake up
Stop sleeping & become awake
turn off
Switching the power off on something.
get up
To arise from bed after sleeping.
plug in
To insert a cord into an electrical outlet.
go back
To return to a previously visited location.
put on
To dress oneself.
tidy up
To do some simple cleaning.
set off
To leave and begin a journey.
lock up
To shut and secure a door or building.
get on
To get into/ board a bus/plane/ other transportation.
get off
To leave a bus/ plane/ train or other transport.
