Genesis tells how Adam and Eve went against gods wishes and ate the fruit
Them eating the fruit is the first original sin
Also known as the fall
This fall caused pain and suffering to be in a perfect world
Since then all humans have tendency to go against god

The existence of evil helps people to appreciate the good in the world. Eg/being unwell and being healthy

God allows suffering because he is omnipotent and good, suffering can be beneficial

To get rid of darkness, you simply turn on the light
